I missed posting a mood board last week because I was in Hawaii. So sorry about that. Naturally this week's interior design inspiration comes from my time on the island. While there I noticed that the interior decor was much more understated than one would imagine. Despite the bright and bold colors of Aloha shirts and sarongs, the patterns and palettes used in rooms were generally very soothing greens and whites. Greens and whites are perfect for achieving a peaceful retreat atmosphere for a bedroom. So while bright pinks and yellows and pineapples and hula dancers can make for a really fun room in a Hawaiian theme, this room tries to mix in more of the calming elements as well.

The bamboo Niko collection would work seemlessly in this room.
